The USA's heart lies in her small towns. Across the country, ordinary folks farm, and sell, and sew, and teach, and protect us from harm. All the while bringing life to their communities through activities and events that are unique to small towns; 4th of July celebrations, Flag Day, Homecoming Parade, Veteran's Day, Memorial day...these celebrations take on very special meanings in these small towns....this IS the small town.
These volunteer firefighters are THE first responders in the rural town of Garwood, Texas. They selflessly give of themselves to protect and serve the surrounding population. True heros!!!
